The Rev. Mark Chambers

Our new Rector The Rev. Mark Chambers joined St. John’s on Sept 1st! He and his wife, Ella, live in Ouray, right down the street from the church.

Mark and Ella are High School sweet hearts and have been married for 31 years. Mark served in the Navy right after High School as a Corpsman. Mark spent the next 21 Years in IT including 5 years as a Microsoft consultant and account manager.

After his call to ministry he attended Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria, Virginia and completed his Masters in Divinity in 2016.

He has served at two different churches in Texas before coming to Ouray, CO to serve at St John’s.
